This checks that interface usages are only typed by interface definitions.

Subsumes connection-usage-types.

Specification

While not formally described in chapter 8, it is given in chapter 7.14.2:

An interface usage must only be defined by interface definitions.

Example

part def P;
interface i : P; // error: An interface usage must only be defined by interface definitions

Fix this by removing specializations that directly or indirectly contribute to invalid types:

part def P;
interface i; // ok

or specialize valid types:

interface def P;
interface i : P; // ok
