Excerpt from the machine readable specification:
Featuring
is aRelationship
between aType
and aFeature
that is featured by thatType
. It asserts that every instance in the domain of thefeature
must be classified by thetype
.
Featuring
is abstract and does not commit to which offeature
ortype
are thesource
ortarget
of theRelationship
. This commitment is made in the subclasses ofFeaturing

, which have opposite directions.
