Description

Raised when rendering or writing one view failed.

The original exception is always on __cause__, and is worth reading: a failed write arrives as the matching OSError subclass carrying errno, strerror and filename (so both except PermissionError and a check on errno work), and a failed render as a RuntimeError.

The view’s file is left as it was, whatever failed: the rows are written to a temp file beside it and moved into place only once they are all there, so a failure part-way through a matrix leaves the previous export’s file rather than a short one.

Variables:

• qualified_name – The view being exported as a syside.QualifiedName, or None when it has no qualified name.

• view_type – How that view was classified.

• exported – The views written before this one failed, as GridExportReport.exported would have carried them. The run stops at the first failure, and the failing view wrote nothing, so this is everything this export put in the directory; without it a caller that wants to clean up, or to report how far the export got, would have to read the directory back and guess which files are its own.
